John Clarence Coleman, age 53, of Brookhaven, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2026, at his residence. Born on November 3, 1972, in Brookhaven, John spent his life rooted in the community he called home, building lasting relationships and leaving a meaningful impact on those around him.
A memorial service honoring John’s life will be held on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at Providence Baptist Church in Jayess at 4:00 p.m. Family, friends, and all whose lives he touched are respectfully invited to attend and celebrate his memory.
John will be remembered as an avid outdoorsman who found peace and joy in nature. Known for his generous spirit, he was the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need. His sense of humor and easygoing personality brought comfort and laughter to many, and he had a unique ability to brighten even the most difficult days.
Above all, John deeply loved his family, especially his two daughters, Sabrina and Shyannah, who were the center of his world. Despite the challenges he faced throughout his life, he remained resilient and compassionate, and his loved ones take comfort in knowing he has now found peace and healing.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Bryan Parnell and Justin Coleman. He is survived by his parents, James Marlin Coleman (Dale) and Patricia James Reece; his siblings, Philip Parnell, Brad Coleman (Charra), Melissa Coleman, and Jessica Coleman; his daughters; nine grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends whom he considered family.
John’s memory will live on through the love he shared and the lives he touched.
