Zachary Snyder Car Accident Death Hebron, Kentucky Obituary: The Burlington community is reeling from the death of 16-year-old Zachary Snyder, killed in a single-vehicle rollover on Bullittsville Road in Hebron. The Boone County Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating the high-speed crash, which injured three others Sunday night.
The incident occurred at approximately 10:34 p.m. on April 5, 2026. A 17-year-old driver lost control of a 2015 Honda Accord while navigating a sharp right-hand curve. The vehicle crossed the centerline, overcorrected, veered off the road, struck multiple trees, and overturned. Snyder, the front-seat passenger, was ejected and trapped beneath the wreckage. Neither he nor the driver wore seatbelts.
First responders pronounced Snyder dead at the scene despite exhaustive efforts. The driver and two backseat passengers—ages 17 and 18—sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were hospitalized after exiting the vehicle independently.
Investigators cite excessive speed as a primary factor, with trajectory mapping, tire marks, and environmental conditions under review. Bullittsville Road has reopened following forensic analysis.
Zachary Snyder, a Burlington high school student, was remembered as a vibrant teen full of promise. His sudden loss has devastated family and friends, prompting calls for teen driver safety: always wear seatbelts, respect curves, and eliminate distractions on rural roads.
“This is a searing trauma for Burlington,” a local official stated. “Our focus is providing answers for Zachary’s family.”
The Sheriff’s Office seeks witnesses. As the community mourns, a GoFundMe or memorial may follow. Snyder’s legacy of warmth endures.
